Duchesnea indica (Mock Strawberry, Indian Strawberry) is a species of flowering plant in the family Rosaceae. It is native to eastern and southern Asia, and has been introduced to other areas as an ornamental. The plant spreads along long, wiry stolons (30–100 cm), rooting and producing crowns at each node. The leaves are medium to dark green, broadly ovate or obovate, 1–5 cm long and 1–3 cm wide, with margin obtusely serrate. flowers solitary in leaf axils. The flowers are yellow, 1–2.5 cm in diameter, with five petals. It blooms in June to August. The preference is full sun to part shade, and fertile, well-drained soils.
