Description

Edgeworthia chrysantha (paper bush) is a species of flowering plant in the family Thymelaeaceae. It is native to China. Paper bush is a deciduous shrub that grows to 4-6 ft. (1.2-1.8 m) tall by 6-8 ft. (1.8-2.4 m) wide. The leaves are dark green, oblong, lanceolate, or oblanceolate, 8-20 cm long and 2.5-5.5 cm wide, with soft silky hairs. Flowers are yellow and fragrant, in clusters at the end of branches. It blooms in February to April. Grow in full sun or part shade and moist, rich, well-drained soil.
