Description

Impatiens walleriana (busy Lizzie, Impatiens) is a species of flowering plant in the family Balsaminaceae, It is native to Eastern Africa. It is an herbaceous perennial plant  that grows to 12–28 in. (30–70 cm) tall. The leaves are  alternate, broadly elliptic or ovate to oblong-elliptic, 1.6-4.7 in. (4-12 cm) long and 1-2.1 in. (2.5-5.5 cm) wide, with margin denticulate. Inflorescences in leaf axils of upper stem and branches, The flowers are white, pink, orange, red, purple, 2–5 cm in diameter, with five petals. Propagate by seed or softwood cuttings, It prefers in part shade, moist, well-drained soil.
